The EcoMentors Conference is a FREE exciting, and interactive day of youth-oriented environmental workshops and training activities that will inspire and equip you as a young eco-leader. Network and connect with a diverse group of environmentally-engaged youth and organizations from across Canada and take home resources you can use to facilitate peer-led workshops in your community!

Featuring keynote speaker Simon Jackson
Simon Jackson is the founder of the Sprit Bear Youth Coalition and the inspiration behind an upcoming animated feature film ‘The Spirit Bear’, as well as the 2005 made-for-TV movie ‘Spirit Bear: The Simon Jackson Story’. Simon will speak about his ongoing efforts to protect one of the world’s rarest and most unique animal species, and the critical role that young people can play in encouraging positive environmental awareness and action.

Train to be an EcoMentor!
Youth participants have the opportunity to be trained at the Conference as EcoMentors. Participants will be able to join three fast-tracked training sessions to gain EcoMentors certification enabling youth to facilitate peer-to-peer environmental education in their communities. A number of FREE RETURN TRAIN TICKETS are available for participants to come to this event from anywhere VIA Rail service exists*. If you want to take advantage of this offer, please indicate your interest in the appropriate section of your registration form.

* Check VIA Rail Canada’s website for train station locations. Due to parental consent issues, this offer can only be extended to participants who are 18 years of age and older. To take advantage of this offer, you must submit your online registration form by August 16th (make sure to indicate your interest in this offer in the appropriate section).
